Marketing is the process that creates, communicates, and delivers value for customers, partners, and society at large. Marketing helps a firm create value by better understanding the needs of its customers and providing them with innovative solutions. When the value is effectively communicated and delivered through a variety of channels, the firm can capture part of the value in return. Successful marketing strategies can translate into business expansion, job creation, government taxation, and ultimately benefit the whole society.
In the marketing department, our faculty addresses a wide range of research topics that attempt to understand how consumers use information and make choices and how these choices affect the firm’s marketing strategy. These topics cover the following areas: consumer behavior, marketing strategies, marketing communication, socially responsible marketing, service marketing, and business-to-business marketing.
The department is looking for promising PhD students to join us who are passionate about innovative research and are committed to becoming professors in their future careers.
